Training Division • Courses & Learning Management System
Disaster Response Services (DRS) delivers a spectrum of preparedness training —
from American Red Cross courses and Stop the Bleed to TECC, CERT, wilderness response,
youth programs, and a growing online Learning Management System (LMS).
Everything is built to feel realistic, calm, and accessible. Our goal is for people to leave
class thinking, “I can actually do this,” not “that was overwhelming.”
Courses are built to match the needs of families, volunteers, and partner agencies across Humboldt County
and beyond. Many classes can be delivered on-site using the Mobile Classroom & Command Trailer.
Foundation skills for homes, schools, and workplaces.
Bleeding control and tactical emergency casualty care concepts for high-stress events.
Neighbors helping neighbors before, during, and after a disaster.
Training for when help is delayed or access is difficult.
Age-appropriate preparedness education for kids, teens, and families.
A growing LMS that lets people learn in smaller, manageable chunks.
Most courses can be delivered for agencies, schools, tribes, community groups, and businesses.
We work with you to match course content, duration, and difficulty to your people.
If you are not sure what you need, we can start with a conversation about your risks, resources,
and goals, and build a training plan from there.
Whether you’re an individual, a school, a fire agency, a tribal community, or a local business,
DRS can help design a training plan that fits your people and your risks.
